Arvo Pärt:24 Preludes for a Fugue.
saw it at the Vancouver film festival just.
not sure how long this link will remain...
http://viff.org/tixSYS/filmguide/eventnote.php?EventNumber=0694
full of insight into his life, evolution, inspiration, and composing.
not a bad soundtrack either!
highly recommended.

Recommendations?

I discovered Arvo Part in college, when my choir sang Magnificat. Since then I've purchased a number of pieces, my favorites being Fratres, Kanon Pokojanen, and the Te Deum. Alina is rather beautiful as well.

I've bought a few other pieces, but Part seems sort of hit and miss. The compositions I like are among my favorite pieces of music, but some of his stuff has kind of left me cold. Does anyone have favorites that I haven't mentioned?

Thanks!
